Dr. Ida Rolf believed the body should be looked at like a complete unit. Sometimes a problem with the shoulder could be caused by the knee or ankle. To put the body back into alignment you can manipulate the causing muscle.
Trigger point Therapy
Stress and strain due to over stretching to a muscle causes damaging results to the muscles with a build up of tissue called trigger points. These trigger points are commonly called "knots." Firm pressure is applied to the trigger point and then is massaged to relieve the area.
